Welcome to Homeschooling Fourth Grade Science! My goal is to guide you step-by-step through the process of learning to use the free, high-quality science curriculum from Core Knowledge to homeschool your student.
What Will Your Student Learn in Fourth Grade? Your student will learn about the human body’s circulatory and respiratory systems, properties of matter, how atoms are constructed, the elemental table, and how chemical solutions are made. They’ll also learn about electricity and spend time studying geology including learning about the construction of the earth, how mountains and undersea trenches are formed, and what causes earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanoes, and geysers. They’ll be introduced to meteorology as well as famous scientists including Benjamin Banneker, Elizabeth Blackwell, Charles Drew, and Michael Faraday.
