Welcome to Homeschooling Fifth Grade Science! My goal is to help you learn to use the free, high-quality science curriculum from Core Knowledge to homeschool your student.
What Will Your Student Learn in Fifth Grade? Your student will learn about the classification of living things, the structures and processes of cells, plant structures and processes, life cycles and reproduction, matter and change in chemistry, as well as the human body’s growth process, endocrine system, and reproductive system. Along the way they’ll be introduced to scientists including Galileo, Percy Lavon Julian, Ernest Just, and Carl Linnaeus.
